Pediatric Pulmonology

At NICH, our team of highly skilled experts in the field of pediatric pulmonology are ready to tackle the patients of respiratory diseases, we offer specialized care for patients with conditions such as bronchial asthma, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia (community acquired pneumonia, ventilator associated pneumonia) with complication and as well as to the patients with congenital lung malformations.

Medical Unit-I is a 60 bedded ward located on 3^rd Floor Main Building of NICH, it has a Semi ICU Room with ten beds to look after critical patients. Children are admitted mainly with pulmonology disorder and general pediatric problems such as Diarrhea, Malnutrition, Pneumonia, Tuberculosis, Asthma, Chronic Liver Disease, and hematological disorders. The unit has twice a week and third Sunday as emergency days admitting all Paediatric Emergencies like fever with fits, status asthmatics, septicemia, and meningitis, renal failure etc. There are two out patients’ clinics every week which deal with ambulatory Paediatric care.
