NICH has one of the largest 13 bedded Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Pakistan where the critically ill pediatric patients are admitted and monitored there conditions with well-equipped PICU. Patients get appropriate treatment by our highly experts and trained pediatric critical care physicians under the supervision of well renowned Pediatric Intensivist Dr. Murtaza Ali Gowa.

PICU have highly expert team of Doctors, Nurses, and Respiratory Therapist, Physiotherapist, Dietitian, Clinical Pharmacist who are specially trained and experienced in Pediatric Intensive Care.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is fully accredited with College of Physician and Surgeon Pakistan for the Post-Fellowship Program in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM). We have a design curriculum of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine for the Postgraduates and Post-Fellows of PCCM.

Department of PICU also accredited with Society of Critical Care Medicine (USA). In collaboration with Pediatric Critical Care Consultant of United States of America we conduct on board meetings on regular basis to get up to the mark.
